FP&A -Senior Financial Analyst I

The company has a proud history of providing growth and advancement opportunities for its employees. We have a challenging opportunity for a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Senior Analyst.

Job Summary:

The FP&A Senior Analyst is responsible for developing the financial and quantitative modeling surrounding operating costs. The role will directly impact the business by accurately assessing and communicating the various key performance indicators that drive revenue and expenses. The key findings will be used for financial analysis, planning, and forecasting. The incumbent will work with cross-functional leaders in operations and finance to collect and model data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and monitor current and past trends in key performance indicators; research the causes of unexpected variances
  • Develop, distribute, and maintain a monthly KPI report using operations and financial data from various systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization to drive cost efficiencies and business performance improvement
  • Assist in the annual rate increase project
  • Assist in the monthly close
  • Assist third parties such as auditors, consultants, and governmental entities with any relevant information they might need
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for various business units and departments
  • Prepare annual budget and forecast for various business units and departments
  • Support the Manager and Senior Director of FP&A in ad hoc requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive financial/accounting experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience analyzing operational data
  • Experience with controllership or audit functions; Oracle, Essbase, and HFM experience, a plus
  • Experience with forecasting and planning
  • BBA in Finance or Accounting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operations analysis experience
  • People or project management experience
  • Process improvement
  • Experience in data mining using large, complex data sets
  • Advanced software skills (Excel, Access, PowerBI, PowerPivot, PowerQuery, Tableau)
  • MBA, CPA, or CMA, preferred

Professional Skills:

  • Strong consultative, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills
