We operate in an industry that is constantly evolving with new technologies (e.g. ONAP/ORAN), where you will be acting as potential headwinds and/or tailwinds to our strategic priorities. Your main responsibility for this role as Chief Technology Officer is to define MANA's long-term Network Strategy Vision and drive MANA's technology position. You will also build and lead a team of technical professionals to provide depth to strategic priorities and advising on network evolution.

Reporting to the EVP & Head of Strategy, Technology, Marketing and Business Development, Market Area North America, you will:

  • Be responsible for defining MANA’s long-term network strategy vision
  • Advance long-term MANA technology position
  • Drive common E2E architecture across CUs
  • Leverage major Tier 1s to drive consolidated next gen technology (e.g. ORAN, ONAP, Next Gen 5G Core, etc.)
  • Be responsible for aligning long-term product roadmaps and commitments across MANA
  • Be responsible for harmonization of long-term requirements in MANA to guide the BA to develop best-in-class products with focused TTM
  • Encapsulate, drive and follow wireless standards, market/technology trends, and the competitive landscape to define and align MANA's long-term strategy
  • Lead by example in embedding Company on the Move’s focus areas (culture) within your organization

To be successful in the role you must have

  • RAN, transport, packet core, communication services, OSS & BSS product and portfolio knowledge
  • Deep and broad wireless industry-wide knowledge
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in ICT
  • Excellent ability in presenting relevant business and industry insights to drive the business forward
  • Good listening skills with very high interest and curiosity to understand MANA's specific challenges and needs
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills and successful experience working with cross-functional organizations (technology domains, region stakeholders, business areas)
  • Experience communicating, discussing, and aligning Company’s technology strategy and vision with customer CTO/CIO and their teams
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of leading and developing high performing teams including virtual and remote teams
  • Superb communication skills

You also have:

  • BS Degree in engineering (IT, Telecom, Computer Science) and MS/MBA preferred.
  • 10 years of relevant ICT experience including R&D & product management experience
  • Experience delivering projects on budget
  • Previous involvement with Startup(s) and Corporate Ventures is valued
  • Experience developing Eco-system communities
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking, and communication skills
  • The ability to enable teamwork and collaboration will be needed
  • Been successful in motivating and aligning multi-functional, matrixed teams striving towards the same goal
  • Ability to travel more than 25%
