Financial Services client in the Addison area is seeking an HR Business Partner for a mostly tactical focused position

 

Under the direction of the CFO and CEO, the Human Resource Business Partner is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating human resource management activities such as benefits, compensation, employee relations, performance management, recruiting and onboarding, training and regulatory compliance/policy.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Benefits: 

    • Provide excellent customer service to employees with benefit questions and needs.

    • Work with brokers/providers to implement and administer a competitive benefit package to include 401K, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, accident and etc.

    • Administers and responsible for other benefits which include Cobra, leaves of absence, and paid time off accrual and process.

    • Work with Benefits Broker to administer the Company’s Wellness Program.

    • Reconcile benefits, deductions and invoices to ensure accuracy.

  • Compensation & Payroll: 

    • Conduct wage analysis utilizing various compensation tools to determine competitive wage rates, bands, bonuses, and/or commissions for each position. 

    • Assists and coordinates to ensure all needed information to process an accurate payroll is entered into the Payroll/HRIS system accurately and timely.

    • Ensure time cards and records are complete, accurate and timely entered into the payroll system.

    • Investigate, correct, communicate and explain payroll discrepancies and errors.

    • Complete requests for pay-related documents and verifications.

  • Employee Relations: 

    • Partner with leadership and managers regarding employee communications and provide coaching, guidance, and support regarding personnel issues. 

    • Conduct internal investigations regarding employee complaints.  Ensure issues and resolutions are properly documented. 

    • Conduct employee stay interviews, separations and exit interviews.

  • Performance Management: 

    • Oversee and administer new hire, terminations, transfers and annual review processes.

    • Assist manager with Corrective Action Plans to ensure both the Company’s and the employee’s success.

  • Recruiting and Onboarding: 

    • Partner with management to identify human capital needs and projections. 

    • Work with 3rd party vendors to help recruit open positions as needed.

    • Ensure that open positions on Company’s Career Site and other sites as needed.

    • Conduct telephone screens of candidates as needed

    • Coordinate and assist in scheduling appropriate candidates for on-site interviews with management.

    • Ensure the employment application and Predictive Index is sent out to and returned by all candidates being brought on-site for an in person interview prior to their arrival.

    • Oversee recruiting process including pre-screening, interviewing, selection, drug/background screening, and offers of employment. 

    • Oversee the onboarding for new hires for successful onboarding and integrating into Company. 

    • Report quality of hire metrics and performance.

  • Regulatory Compliance/Policy: 

    • Partner with management and attorneys to identify risks and ensure Company’s compliance with all federal and state labor and payroll laws, regulations and requirements. 

    • Ensure Company policies and procedures are well documented and communicated to all employees via the employee handbook.

    • Conduct and monitor training related to Company’s policies and procedures, sexual harassment, etc. 

    • Work with 3rd party vendor to prepare the Company’s annual Affirmative Action Plan.

    • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance (i.e., EEO-1, etc.).

  • Culture: 

    • Partner with leadership and managers with continuous communication and awareness of company mission, vision and core values. 

    • Oversee the Employee Ambassador Team, CEO Ambassador Team, company newsletter and organizational chart. 

    • Provide executive HR strategy, leadership, budget and advice.

    • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals.
  • Training: 

    • Partner with leadership and managers for continuous leadership and employee training. 

    • Conduct and monitor employee training plan and classes.

  • Other Duties As Assigned/Needed
