As a Human Resources Business Partner/Manager, you’ll be an important part of what works.
Your primary responsibilities include developing, managing, coordinating, and administering a variety of HR programs for multiple facilities within a geographic area. You will be responsible for coaching, supporting, and influencing managers through employee relations matters to minimize risk and maintain a team member-oriented culture. Your days may include:

  • Implementing the organization’s HR strategy to attract, manage, develop, and retain employees
  • Liaising with area managers to develop and implement local HR strategies appropriate for their business needs and consistent with the organization’s overall HR strategy
  • Evaluating the organization’s future workforce needs
  • Recommending changes to HR strategy and adapt existing HR programs to meet those needs
  • Administering the employee relations programs
  • Conducting investigations and providing counsel to managers on performance improvement and disciplinary actions
  • Coordinating with the talent acquisition team for the effective on-boarding of new employees
  • Assisting in the administration of performance management and compensation planning activities
  • Serving as first-line contact for employee relations and employment questions
  • Ensuring consistent application of HR policies
  • Preparing reports of human resources data as requested and to meet with legislative requirements
  • Assisting in the identification of current HR trends and compare with legislated requirements and programs
  • Developing and documenting procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

In this role, you’ll need: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree; and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of California employment law required
  • SPHR and/or PHR preferred
  • Analytical skills and the ability to interpret journals, reports, and governmental regulations
  • Strong conflict management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to effectively and professionally present information to all types of audiences through the organization
