Objective

The Human Resources Manager will plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the policies and activities of Human Resources (HR), ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.

Essential Functions

  1. Partners with the Executive team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  2. Provides support and guidance to management team members when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. Oversees and prepares documentation of employee disciplinary meetings, involuntary terminations, and investigations.
  3. Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  4. Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  5. Administers human resource programs including performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; training and development.
  6. Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  7. Maintains compliance with federal, multi-state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  8. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Communicates changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  9. Develop and schedule webinar training for its employees and all related brands; required annual employment law and regulation webinar lessons to meet the organization’s annual compliance.
  10. Responsible for HR-related concerns or complaints brought to your attention by employees within the organization.
  11. Maintains employee personnel files in the company’s HRIS database ExponentHR. Responsible for the successful completion of each company’s annual employee evaluation process using the HRIS program ExponentHR; includes creating a timeline, prepare templates and employee assignments, handle employee and supervisor training, and provide ongoing support to employees throughout the evaluation timeline.
  12. Administers and files required FMLA, Long and Short Term Disability Claims, Worker’s Compensation Claims, and all other employee leave request forms as required. Assists employees as needed with all leave requests.
  13. Responsible for the HR related acquisition due diligence and integration activities of all acquisitions.
  14. Special projects and duties as assigned by direct supervisor, and CEO.

  • Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds. Travel This position may require occasional overnight travel as required to complete essential human resources functions for the organization. Required

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required .

A minimum of 5 years of human resource management experience preferred.

SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
