The Operational Trainer - Network Management will develop, implement, update, administer and evaluate the training process and material for both new and existing Provider Network Management staff.  Conduct new hire and continuing education training to support the Provider Network Management in their contracting and provider set-up efforts.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00:pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain Provider Network Management instructional materials, demos, process flows and presentations.
  • Conduct new hire training for the Provider Network Management.
  • Develop and conduct departmental continuing education programs.
  • Evaluate training processes, tools and activities for effectiveness. 
  • Monitor and report the effectiveness of training during the orientation period and for continued career development.    
  • Research and present new training techniques and/or attend training classes/seminars. 
  • Travel up to 25% of the time

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years demonstrated experience in designing/developing and implementing professional training materials and conducting training in a business/academic environment, preferably in a healthcare industry
  • Microsoft Word (ability to create, edit and save documents)
  • Microsoft Excel (ability to create, edit and save spreadsheets)
  • Microsoft Powerpoint (ability to create a presentation)
  • Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
  • Travel up to 25% of the time
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or Higher
  • Experience with adult learning workshops and seminars
  • National Career Readiness Certificate
  • Military experience
  • MedNet proficiency
  • Healthcare experience preferred

  • Excellent communication skills in order to communicate ideas in a structured and logical manner both verbally and written
  • Ability to use previous experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of tasks requiring a wide degree of creativity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective editing and proofreading skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of personality styles
  • Detailed oriented, demonstrated ability to work independently, and proven organizational skills
  • Must have the ability to prioritize projects and multi-task while meeting critical deadlines

Colorado Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $17.12 to $30.34.
