The Medical Biller will be responsible for completing and submitting medical claims to commercial and government payers for physician claims. This is a fast paced, repetitive role, requiring 190 invoices/claims worked per day. Some phone work involved to verify insurance.

The hospital has patients that receive benefits from various types of insurances such as; government medicaid, medicare, private payer, HMO, etc.

The Medical Collector position is an insurance claims follow-up position within the hospital revenue cycle team. The primary purpose of this position is to follow up on unpaid claims through payer portal or by phone to follow up on claims status and resubmit claims with proper information to get account to resolution. The hospital sees patients that receive benefits from various types of insurances such as; government medicaid, medicare, private payer, HMO, etc.

They will do a mix of phone work and online inquiries. Handling and touching on 90 accounts daily.

This is a production based role and the collectors will need to resolve account balances to get claims paid. They will be completing administrative duties as well as outbound call center type work.
