Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.

We are hiring four Finance & Accounting Sr. Analyst to provide financial support for one of the following financial teams:

  • Wealth & Investment Management
  • Technology Finance
  • Commercial Banking Accounting Team
  • Client Relationship Group (CRG) and Investment Solution Center of Excellence (COE)
     
     

The Finance & Accounting Analyst opportunity with the Integrated Brokerage Finance team supporting Client Relationship Group (CRG) will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Assist in research of financial data, field compensation, data analysis, and reporting. 
  • Perform/Create weekly and/or monthly management reporting for Division and Market field leadership. 
  • Work with business partners to assist with questions, collect data, and perform basic trend analysis and variances. 
  • Support General Org hierarchy maintenance and reporting. 
  • Understand compliance and risk management for supported areas/functions.

***Locations- St Louis, MO or Charlotte, NC***

The Finance & Accounting Analyst opportunity with the Products and Service Finance team supporting Client Relationship Group (CRG) and Investment Solution Center of Excellence (COE) will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting in research of financial data, data analysis, and reporting.
  •  Perform/Create weekly and/or monthly management reporting.
  •   Working with business partners to assist with questions, collect data, and perform basic trend analysis and variances. 
  • Support General Org hierarchy maintenance and reporting. 
  • Understand compliance and risk management for supported areas/functions.

***Locations- St Louis, MO or Charlotte, NC***

 

The Finance & Accounting Analyst opportunity with Technology Finance team will be responsible for the following:

  • Assists in research of financial, operating and/or economic data and analyzes/interprets and reports the findings.
  • Works with business partners to collect internal financial data, analyzes, tests for accuracy, identifies and resolves problems; performs basic variance and trend analyses.
  • Supports Budgeting, Forecast and Month-end results to ensure accurate maintenance of financial data in various tools/systems.
  • Prepares data and assists in analysis on product line/operational/strategic plans.
  •  Understands compliance and risk management requirements for supported area.
  •  May participate in transformational initiatives work streams. Works under moderate supervision.

The Finance & Accounting Analyst opportunity with the Commercial Banking accounting team whose footprint spans the U.S., Canada and India, will be responsible for the following:

  • Interact routinely with leaders across Finance, other support functions, and the lines of business.
  • Become familiar with Commercial Lending regulatory reporting processes and work to create efficient and effective reporting practices
  • Assist in supporting the remediation of existing and future identified regulatory reporting or Audit issues.
  • Participate in the existing Commercial Lending data submission processes to ensure accuracy and completeness by reviewing data from the general ledger, Commercial business unit reports and various financial systems
  • Contribute in preparing financial and regulatory submissions
  • Understand who our key stakeholders across Commercial Lending
  • Contribute in performing a variety of analyses or projects relating to financial accounting procedures, methods or systems
  • Participate in attending to Audit requests, and regulatory remediation projects in accordance with the Company's Governance & Oversight Framework
  • Testing data as found in systems to verify it is consistent with established requirements or to investigate its suitability for its intended use

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, financial reporting, accounting reporting or risk reporting demonstrated through work or military experience; or a BS/BA or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, or Business and 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, financial reporting, accounting reporting or risk reporting demonstrated through work or military experience

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of data management concepts, process, tools, and environments
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to create and deliver dynamic presentations
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Hyperion Essbase experience
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
  • SQL or SAS experience

  • Active Member of NABA, NBMBAA, ALPFA, ASCEND or ROMBA Associations
  • BS/BA  Computer Science
  • Strong Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
