Description

The Senior Analyst of Operations Finance will work directly with the Manager, Operations Finance and be responsible for critical reporting and analytical insights for all surgical operations. This position will play a key role in weekly and monthly reporting, communicating key volume and mix drivers to management and enhancing our data and systems in order to get more reliable, real-time analytics to influence performance. The Senior Analyst will be a key player in data validation and data integrity.

Job Responsibilities and Major Duties: Weekly Volume, Efficiency and Mix Reporting

Weekly volume reporting

  • Work with the field to ensure timely volume projections, coordinating with field leadership for approval and accuracy
  • Train newly acquired facilities in the weekly submission process and ensure all new facilities are included in reporting and communication
  • Provide the COO and Operations leaders a weekly summary of the volume projection, including drivers of the variance

Weekly efficiency metrics

  • Ensure non-AdvantX facilities are correctly reporting their efficiency metrics each week
  • Review weekly reporting to ensure all facilities are reported, noting trends and investigating outliers and areas of concern
  • Provide Market President leadership a weekly report of facilities that are consistently falling below the target in the past 3 consecutive weeks

Weekly case mix reporting

  • Provide weekly insight on mix and related financial impacts to net revenue per case

Monthly Reporting

  • Point of contact for Facility Strategic Plan and MOR templates and related reporting and training
  • Participate in facility MORs and provide insights back to Vice President of Operations Finance as is relates to what’s going well and not so well at the facilities
  • Provide timely month end reports and analyze data for trends and insights
  • Update organizational mapping each month as facility leadership changes occur and new facilities come into the portfolio, along with tracking field leadership portfolio size
  • Work with BI data team on reporting requirements and data validation

Ad-Hoc Requests

  • Financial impact analysis related to hurricanes and other business interruptions
  • Assist in deep dive financial analyses for business insights
  • Other ad-hoc requests as needed

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Requires a master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years related finance/FP&A experience including reporting and business analysis
  • Demonstrated expert-level experience in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products
  • Strong financial data analysis, data architecture skills and data modeling skills
  • Strong organizational skills and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate with senior level operators and C-suite
  • Experience with business intelligence a plus
  • Knowledge of health care industry preferred
  • Position will require limited travel, depending on specific initiatives and need
